Overall Winner Cup
Points are awarded for each meeting throughout the season as follows:-
Winner on the day - 3 points
Second on the day - 2 points
Third on the day- 1 point
Longest drive and nearest the pin gains a point each and a point is also given for any gross 2 scored. At the end of the season the player with the highest points tally is the overall winner.
Longest Drive & Nearest the Pin.
These two challenges are an integral part of each monthly game, and as such are open to members who have paid their green fees for that particular game.
There are no restrictions regarding handicap, division etc to winning either or both challenges. It is purely the winning shot on the day irrespective of who made it.
In an attempt to make both challenges interesting throughout the season, once a player has won either the Longest Drive and or Nearest the Pin they are not entitled to win it again that season. This will hopefully give other players the opportunity to win a small prize and the bragging rights for that month!
With a lot of players the memory and possible shock of winning will far outlast the small prize which, could so easily be dispatched into a pond or out of bounds
